Le livre recueille les actes du colloque homonyme tenu \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Valencia en d\u00e9cembre 2021. L\u2019ensemble des participations constitue un corpus m\u00e9thodologique des recherches historiques, arch\u00e9ologiques et sociales les plus r\u00e9centes (et souvent encore en cours) sur l\u2019occupation, mat\u00e9rielle et aussi sociale, de l\u2019espace domestique au Moyen \u00c2ge.<\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00f4le du d\u00e9cor peint au plafond a \u00e9t\u00e9 trait\u00e9 par Georges Puchal (RCPPM) dans l\u2019article \u00ab\u00a0<em>Un espejo social. <\/em><em>Representaciones de la vida dom\u00e9stica en los techos pintados medievales\u00a0\u00bb. <\/em>En questionnant les sujets peints sur les plafonds de l\u2019arc m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en, on constate l\u2019absence quasi totale de repr\u00e9sentations explicites de l\u2019espace domestique.\u00a0 Mais, comme un arbre seul peut signifier une for\u00eat dans l\u2019imagerie m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, le cadre de vie domestique appara\u00eet, lui aussi, par ellipse\u00a0: un couple dans un lit \u00e0 Teruel, un miroir accroch\u00e9 \u00e0 un clou \u00e0 Fr\u00e9jus ou, moins abstrait, un \u00e2tre \u00e0 Lagrasse.\u00a0 Le plafond peint, par son essence m\u00eame, int\u00e9gr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019espace domestique, appara\u00eet moins comme support de repr\u00e9sentation mat\u00e9rielle que comme un symbolique miroir, volontiers ostentatoire, du statut social du ma\u00eetre c\u00e9ans.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">GARC\u00edA MARSILLA, Juan Vicente, <span class=\"citation_title\"><em>Espacios de vida.
